Bon Iver live

Turns out Justin Vernon of Bon Iver, still sounds good even without mountains of overdubbed vocals and buckets of reverb. Lately, I’ve been driving everyWHERE and the city seems so impersonal and increasingly hot. Both “Flume” and “I Can’t Make You Love Me” seem to come from someplace cold and beautiful and warmer all at the same time. Happy Commuting. Because you can’t make your heart feel something it don’t.

The Prayer Chain's original "difficult" album

It took me about 6 months to realize that one of my favorite bands had released the original, label-rejected version of the album that would become Mercury. I had to immediately purchase it from bandcamp and you should too. All proceeds go to charity. Listen to the whole messy masterpiece below. It may even out-shine the final mixed, label-endorsed product.
